Somewhere around 1600m sea level, humanity resides in the form of the most unique festival Kukur Tihar. Sikkimese (Nepalese to be precise) people have included dogs too in this five day long Tihar festival which marks the arrival of fall.How cute!

◐◐ Jobless Afternoons ◐◐
Our initial days in Gangtok were spent in a Tibetan Hotel. Run by a senior couple in their sixties, this was a boutique hotel with antiques all over the place. What a good start before constructing our own little nest in the city. There was a lot to learn from the Hotel Aunty.

◐◐Hajmola and Stemetil◐◐
We took a halt at a small food joint. The driver knew the stall owner like all other drivers of long drives. Each one of them would have a favorite or better to say a sponsor food joints which they recommend to their passengers in a long hour journey.

◐◐2nd Mile-The Heaven◐◐
We started at 3 in afternoon. Our vehicle gliding through the Sevoke Road, at the eastern part of Siliguri, the road which leads to heaven (this way or that way). Moving along I could see a few Mongoloid Faces now, and my excitement of living amidst the style kingdom was on a surge already. .

◐◐ NJP-2nd Mile. ◐◐
28th January 2018. Capital KYQ Express was 3 hours late from its usual schedule. The ride to Gangtok was pre booked from 2nd Mile (Siliguri) which is a half an hour long journey from NJP Railway Station.
