Namma Bengaluru

Every city has its own rhythm and tempo. While some have life, rolling and rocking, all chirpy with their own culture and stories galore – some of them have a super romantic weather. But a very few of them are blessed with a combination of the above two. Bengaluru is one such city.

I’m sure each one of us would have discovered a unique, a best part about our city, upon which we can feel proud – by now. But, it’s not always the usual hill stations or the far off sea coasts, that one vouches for when it comes to vacationing. Sometimes we just want to sit back and relax all cozy and comfy, with our kind of people – our friends, to dwell into the college nostalgia. One such city with a very familiar aura is Bengaluru.

Every time a plane lands over the city’s Kempegowda Airport, a swarm of excited feelings occupies one’s gut; with flashes of bygone days of parties and celebrations flickering like an old film reel. No matter what time of the year it is, the city never fails to mesmerize with its urban-ish charm.

We often ask ourselves, what’s in a name. Well for Bengaluru, we dare not. The name itself expands so beautifully, which is more than enough for anybody else to describe it the way it does. Here it goes..

B : Biker’s Treat – The road-trip to Mysore via the State Highway 17 is a lifelong experience that the biker inside you would always thank you for.

E : Enchanting – On the way to Mysore, lies another enigmatic wonder that the city holds. The Wonder la – the ultimate treat to your family.

N : Night Life – The enormous ever lit night clubs, celebrating the spirit of the city.

G : Garden City – Bengaluru, without the mention of its beautiful parks viz., the Lal Bagh, the Cubbon Park, the age old Bannerghatta National Park is worthless.

A : Adventure – Plethora of camping spots offering the lush greenery for the adventure junkie inside you.

L : Lakes – The city also bears some notably beautiful lakes such as, the Madiwala Lake, the Ulsoor Lake etc.

U : Urbane – Urbane is the word, the tune all around that is reflected through the various events happening in the city be it a casual meetup for a social cause or an international concert, the crowd here is all up for it.

R : Rasta Cafe – The ever awake, the church of the Bohemians inside the city – Rasta Cafe it is!

U : UB City – An epitome of class and grandeur, this massive mall has everything international that an average Indian would fall for.

The city is like a healthy chaotic juggernaut, ready to put you on thrill, making you feel bonded and connected every single moment. Everyone here, dances to the beat of “Namma Bengaluru“, meaning, Our Bengaluru. Namma Bengaluru, an otherwise just another local phrase, but that lives up to its definition, makes each of its residents – old or new – to accept the local phrase along with its meaning wholeheartedly.

With magnificent over-bridges all around, travelling along those might make you feel like you are on the terrace of the it hub. If you ask me, I would say- it’s a city without a ceiling! Yes you heard me right. There ain’t any ceiling, there ain’t any capping on the Silicon Valley of India. Be it the super cool weather hovering all over or the cloud high spirit of the the young hearts, the entropy is sky high and untamed. Bengaluru is a city dominated by young-at-hearts, who are mature enough to bear a torchlight of their independence.
